Dr. Kathryn S. Aulbach, Associate Veterinarian:
Katie decided to become a veterinarian at a young age out of a love for nature, animals and science. She grew up in Vicksburg, Michigan and attended Michigan State University where she completed her undergraduate work and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. During her time at MSU she had unique opportunities to study wildlife and culture in Nepal, animal behavior in Kenya, and veterinary medicine in India. After graduating in 2005 she worked at a small animal clinic in Battle Creek for three years before coming to Gull Lake Animal Hospital. Katie has a special interest in ultrasound, cytology/hematology and surgery. Katie's family includes her husband Adam (also a veterinarian whom she met in school), cattle dog mixes, Sydney and Meela, a pair of mischievous cats, Claudia and Louie (think Siamese cats from "Lady and the Tramp") and a Scottish Fold cat, Tink. In her spare time, Katie enjoys running marathons (she does her training runs with her dog Meela), triathlons, mountain biking, camping and traveling. |
